{"id":169,"date":"2025-04-15T08:34:31","date_gmt":"2025-04-15T08:34:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/demo.logic.ee\/koolifilm\/?page_id=169"},"modified":"2025-05-21T17:02:16","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T14:02:16","slug":"rules","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/koolifilm.ee\/en\/festival-koolifilm\/rules\/","title":{"rendered":"KOOLIFILM FESTIVAL RULES AND REGULATIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>THE FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Koolifilm Festival 2024, organised by Kinomaja Filmikool and Kino Artis will take place in Tallinn October 31st &#8211; Nov 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>COMPETITION CATEGORIES<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Koolifilm Festival 2024 is holding competitions in the following categories:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To be announced!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only <strong>films completed after January 1 2023<\/strong> and <strong>no more than 15 minutes<\/strong> in length will be considered for selection by the jury.<br><br>Films must have at least a <strong>director and cinematographer of the ages 14-19<\/strong>. Ideally the rest of the film team is also majorly of this age bracket (not including actors.) Films made in university are not accepted.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Films may be of any genre, and filmed and\/or animated in any technique.<strong> Only completed films<\/strong> will be considered for selection.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>SUBMISSION<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submission is <strong>free of charge<\/strong>. You can submit the film at koolifilm.ee<br><br>All films, regardless of language, need to be submitted with <strong>English subtitles in a SRT file.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Film submissions will be accepted until September 1st 2024. Film submissions will not be admitted after this date.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the submitter does not provide a screener link (a YouTube, vimeo, or google drive link to view the film) then the submission will be disqualified.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon positive selection, the festival will contact the submitter and request a final cinema screening file.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selection results will be sent individually to the submitters through their provided email during September.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a submitted film is selected into the program then the director(s) will be provided a full festival accreditation (festival pass) and access to master classes and events for free.
